Marie Knutson

I was born and raised in Rosetown, Saskatchewan. After two years of living in Kelvington, my husband Steve of 35 years and I moved to Eston. We raised our five children there and still call it home today. We are fortunate to have our only grandson living just down the street from us.


I have been a CWL member for 30 years and am currently serving the League as secretary for our Parish Council and corresponding secretary to the Provincial Council. I have been chairperson of several standing committees at the parish level. Over the years, I have been very involved in my home parish, serving as catechism coordinator and youth leader for over 30 years and serving several parish council terms. I am currently in my first year of Lay Formation in Saskatoon and thoroughly enjoying the experience, fellowship, and teachings.


I have worked as a lab and x ray technician, for the 30 years. I also do accounting work for several farmers and businesses in the community. My family is most important to me, but I also enjoy running, swimming and travelling. My heart lies in humanitarian work and I have helped spearhead several major charity projects. Currently, we are raising funds and collecting donations to build and furnish an all-girls’ school in Liberia.
