Susan Melchiorre

Saskatoon Diocesan President

Susan Melchiorre

Susan came to Canada from London, England as a preschooler. Since her father was from Humboldt they first lived there before moving on to Prince Albert. After high school and attending the University of Saskatchewan, Susan moved to Regina and was a member of Holy Trinity Parish for many years. It was there that she joined the Catholic Women’s League and has been active ever since as both a chairperson and president of her parish CWL council and then holding various committee chairperson positions with the Archdiocese of Regina Council. On moving to Saskatoon 6 ½ years ago she immediately became active and took on chairmanships with St Patrick’s Council and the Saskatoon Diocesan Council. She particularly enjoyed being Legislation and Resolution chairpersons at both levels due to her keen interest in current affairs. Susan has worked on Liturgy committees at both her parishes. In Regina she was a member of the parish council as well as a member of the RCIA team. Here in the Saskatoon Diocese she has devoted her time to the Catholic Women’s League. And at St Patrick’s is a member of the Wedding Team. Susan recently retired from the federal government where her career involved her with office management, facilitating and coordinating training for her departments. She is mother to 3 adult children – one girl and two boys. And has one grandson with another grandchild arriving in July, 2010.
