Tillie Aessie

I am married to Roger for 50 years, mother of 4 sons, and have 8 grandchildren.


Because of our military background we lived in six of the ten provinces in Canada and served in 11 different dioceses.


I joined the Catholic Women’s League in 1975 beginning with holding the positions of Treasurer and President in North Bay, Ontario and again in 1993 at St. Anne’s in Saskatoon.


Over the years I was involved in various courses such as the Christopher Leadership Course, animator of the “Grow” program,” Leading the League” workshop and facilitator for the “One in the Spirit” workshop. My parish council awarded me with the Maple Leaf Service pin in 1999.


In 2002 I graduated from the two year Lay Formation Program.


I was the Official Hostess and Co-Chair of the 2003 National CWL Convention held in Saskatoon.


Actively involved in all aspects of Parish Ministry, as well as serving on the Art & Environment committee for St. Anne’s parish and the Diocese.


For the last eight years I have been a Facilitator for Liturgy of the Hours and Small Faith Sharing Groups in my home parish.


I have held the following chair positions on Diocesan; Education and Health, Organization, and President (3 year term). On Provincial, I chaired the following positions: Community Life, Spiritual Life, Organization and
President - Elect.
