Val Wilson

I was born in Craik and grew up in Aylesbury, SK. I met my husband, of 38 years now, in Saskatoon where we raised our 2 children and now have 2 grandchildren.


I have been a CWL member for 29 years, all at Holy Family Parish and have held the positions of: Co-President (2 terms), Secretary (3 terms), chairperson of Organization, Resolution & Legislation, Education & Health, and at present Communications.


Previously, I have served as Corresponding Secretary on Provincial as well as many years as the same on Diocesan. It was during my tenure with Diocesan council that I received the Maple Leaf Service Pin.


I have assisted on committees for Diocesan conventions and my councils special functions. Saskatoon Regional Committee and the Board of Directors of the CWL Clothing Depot are two positions which I served a 2 year term each.


At present, I am a Welcomer at Sunday morning mass and have previously served one term on the Pastoral Council for Holy Family Parish.


Over the years, I have canvassed door to door for various charitable organizations. For more than 25 years I worked at housecleaning jobs for many personal clients. Working outside in my yard and garden brings me much pleasure. I also enjoy biking, walking and spending time with my family.
