Yvonne Colleaux

Life Member Liaison


Yvonne Colleaux has been a member for 26 years. She has served as president at the parish, diocesan and provincial levels after serving as standing committee chairperson of organization, spiritual development, community life, resolutions and legislation.


She was facilitator for various workshops including: ‘Field Workers,’ ‘Spirituality – A Day of Discovery,’ and ‘Project Grow.’ She has served as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the CWL Clothing Depot, the Global Gathering Place, and on the executive of the Lay Formation Alumni Association. She is currently Treasurer for her parish council.


For a number of years, she volunteered for weekly delivery of ‘Meals on Wheels.’ She also worked as a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House.


She was on Ad Hoc Committees for four resolutions, one on ‘Claimants of Workers’ Compensation’ carried at the provincial level for action by the provincial government and three – Over-medication of Seniors, Bullying in Schools and Water Use in Canada – carried at the national level.


For 40 years, she was involved in music ministry at the parish level. She is currently a lector and Eucharistic minister in her parish, is serving a 3-year term on the parish pastoral council and has a monthly communion service at an assisted living complex. She is also a graduate of the Lay Formation program. She was on the Social Justice committee at a previous parish and worked with two refugee families.
