Water Use in Canada

Whereas, Water is the source of life without which no one can survive; and
Whereas, Potable water is scarce in many parts of the world; and
Whereas, Christians are called to be stewards of God's creation; therefore, be it
Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women's League of Canada, in 84th annual national convention assembled, encourages members to lobby their municipal governments to take effective measures to limit unnecessary use of potable water; and, be it further
Resolved, That the national council of The Catholic Women's League of Canada, in 84th annual national convention assembled, encourage members to make conscious efforts to reduce household and sanitary uses of water.
Requested Members' Action:
- Write letters to municipal governments requesting that unnecessary use of potable water be limited.
- Reduce household and sanitary use of water.
